The first two years of the MBChB provide students with the foundation knowledge and skills that are required prior to starting their hospital experience in years 3 to 5. From the first weeks of the course students have contact with patients as they are attached to a General Practice in the West Midlands. Throughout the five years of the programme, students receive teaching in a variety of forms : lectures, seminars, tutorials, laboratory work and bedside demonstrations.
